By accessing or using Demagify (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the Service. The Service is operated by the Demagify Project (“Demagify”, “we”, “us”).

2. Description of the Service

Demagify is an informational and educational transparency utility designed to help music listeners audit Spotify playlists against documented, verified public records of political engagement, campaign funding, and endorsements. The Service is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial informational purposes.

3. Evidentiary Standard & Public Record Transparency

Demagify adheres to a strict journalistic and evidentiary standard grounded in verified public documentation:

Primary Documentation & First-Party Statements: Classifications are derived exclusively from verified primary public records, including Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings, official campaign press releases, documented rally appearances, and first-party statements published directly by the artist via verified social media profiles (e.g., X, Instagram, Truth Social, TikTok, YouTube).
Zero Rumors or Third-Party Hearsay: We do not publish unverified gossip, secondhand blog commentary, paparazzi reports, or private conversations. Third-party commentary about an artist does not qualify; the public record must originate directly from the artist’s own official actions, statements, or legally binding filings.
Corrections and Inquiries: If you believe an entry contains a factual error or misattribution, please submit documented documentary evidence to [email protected]. We review verified corrections promptly.

4. Independent Third-Party Service & Spotify Disclaimer

Demagify is an independent third-party web application that interfaces with the Spotify Web API. Demagify is NOT affiliated with, associated with, authorized by, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with Spotify AB, Spotify USA Inc., or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates.

“Spotify” and the Spotify logo are registered trademarks of Spotify AB. All artist names, track titles, album titles, and related media mentioned on Demagify are the property of their respective copyright and trademark holders.

5. Permitted Use & User Conduct

You agree to use Demagify only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to harvest data from the Service in a manner that degrades service availability.
Attempt to probe, scan, or compromise the security or vulnerability of our servers, network infrastructure, or API endpoints.
Impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure.
Circumvent or attempt to bypass any rate-limiting, authentication mechanisms, or security measures.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Demagify makes no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. Demagify does not modify or delete content from your Spotify account unless you explicitly trigger an export or purge action.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL DEMAGIFY, ITS CREATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Service following any revisions constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
